Alec Baldwin Is Busy Fulfilling Expectant Hilaria's Fruit Requests

Alec Baldwin Hilaria Baldwin Pregnancy Cravings
Mark Davis/WireImage

Fatherhood is nothing new to Alec Baldwin. But daddy duty later in life? Now that’s a whole new playing field.

Already dad to daughter Ireland, 17, the actor and his wife Hilaria are set to welcome their first child together this summer — and Baldwin is busy taking in the experience.

“Being around a woman when she’s pregnant and I’m older now — quite a bit older, actually — it’s just really … it’s amazing,” he joked with David Letterman Monday.

“Like my wife, the pregnant woman, the hormonally-charged woman if you will – uh, it’s thrilling. It’s a thrilling thing to observe.”

But the Orphans star, 54, isn’t just sitting back and taking it all in; The future father-of-two is doing his part to keep his yoga instructor wife relaxed, happy — and full!

“She’s been super fit her whole life and nutritionally very conscious. I’ll say to her, ‘You want to eat smart and keep up your nutritional values, but you gotta eat, you’re having a baby,’” he explains. “I’ll go, ‘Do you want me to go get you some pineapple?’ And she’ll be like, ‘I don’t know.’”

While Hilaria may be unsure of what she’s actually craving, Baldwin has been known to take matters into his own hands, heading out to the store to stock up on her favorite foods. And, as it turns out, his gut instinct that his pregnant wife could go for some fruit is typically proven true.

“There’s a container of pineapple that will probably serve four people. I put it on the counter [and] I go, ‘If you want some pineapple, here it is,’” he recalls of a recent episode.

“I go to the other room, I plug my phone in to charge it [and] sure enough I walk back — three quarters of the pineapple is gone and she’s like, ‘I was very hungry.’”

However, Hilaria is much more vocal when it comes to her constant bathroom breaks — or lack thereof. “My wife will be announcing, ‘I have to pee every five minutes, I can’t believe it!’ Then I’m like, ‘Well, we have four bathrooms in the apartment, so you’re covered. We got a bathroom in every quadrant of the house at the ready, clean and freshly papered and everything good to go,’” Baldwin jokes.

“And then the next day she’s like, ‘I don’t have to pee at all today. Something’s wrong!’ I’m getting whiplash here: pee, no pee…”

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Gives a Wedding Planning Update

Wedding bells will soon be ringing for Modern Family actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his fiancé, lawyer Justin Mikita.

The couple is getting married this summer.

"We are in the middle of wedding planning. It's a process, but it's been a lot of fun," Ferguson told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Tie the Knot spring collection celebration party in New York.

Fortunately for Ferguson, who got engaged to Mikita last July while vacationing in Mexico, the stresses of preparing for the big day have not taken a toll on him.

"No Groomzilla here," Ferguson, 37, says with a laugh. "We have a really great wedding planner who is managing everything. It's been very exciting. I'm very picky about things, and everything is coming together nicely."

One thing to expect at the wedding: good drinks.

"We really want a great mixologist for a craft cocktail bar," says Mikita, 27. "We are looking around for one. There are some great New York speakeasies like Milk and Honey. … So we're trying to bring a cool vibe like that to our wedding."

As for the guest list, "We want Beyoncé to perform at our wedding," jokes Mikita.

Ferguson has an aim high approach to the guest list, too. "We want the Obamas to be our guests," he says, but adds, "It's going to be a small ceremony."

Amid the wedding planning, the two have created a new line of bow tiesnow available at The Tie Bar for their Tie the Knot Foundation that benefits marriage equality organizations. Working together on their passion project "has only helped and made our relationship and our love for each other grow," says Ferguson.

After dating for two years, the pair hit it off quickly.

"First of all, he's incredibly attractive and he's a lawyer and he's sweet. That's all those things you look for, but on top of that he has an amazing family who he loves so much, he's good to his siblings and his best friends," explains Ferguson. "I've always wanted someone like that."

"Justin is one of the most loving people I know," he continues. "If I didn't snatch him up, I would be an idiot. You want to tie that up immediately."

And what kind of partner is the Emmy-nominated Modern Family star?

"He's caring and kind and thoughtful," says Mikita. "We both bring a lot to the table and help each other in many ways, and I think that's the reason why it's right."

Rachel McAdams Finds Unlikely Suitor at Toronto Raptors Game

Rachel McAdams and the Toronto Raptors's velociraptor mascot

Rachel McAdams's last boyfriend was a little older than her. Now it looks like she's keeping company with someone from the Cretaceous Period.

The actress, 34, who recently split with her beau of two years, actor Michael Sheen, was courted by the Toronto Raptors's velociraptor mascot on Monday night.

He presented the Midnight in Paris actress with flowers and a stuffed dinosaur as the Toronto public-address announcer introduced the London, Ontario, native to the crowd, who cheered wildly.

McAdams, sporting newly red locks, seemed charmingly embarrassed by the whole episode, but took it in stride, grinning her famous smile as she accepted the presents.

As NBA mascots go, the Raptor would be a prize catch for any Hollywood actress. Described as "165 lbs. of pure solid fur," he's been voted the most popular NBA mascot in each of the past three seasons.

He also "enjoys making people laugh, whether with him or at him, usually at him," according to his bio.

Meet the Biggest Star in Music Right Now: A Goat!

02/27/2013 at 11:15 AM EST

The biggest duet partner for music's biggest stars right now? A goat.

We're not kidding.

If your coworker bleating with joy, he or she has probably stumbled upon a new meme, which mashes up pop hits with an old clip of a goat screaming as if it were a human. (Some might argue that the goat improves the songs, but we'll leave that discussion to the comments section.) So far, Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble," Justin Bieber's "Baby" and Katy Perry's "Firework" have all gotten the wooly treatment.

Put on your headphones (our goat pal is loud), throw your hooves in the air, and wave them like you just don't care to some of our favorites – before this goat gets a record deal!

So, how does it feel to have your name dropped before a billion people?

Surprising, says TV Guide columnist Stephen Battaglio, who was part of the lively opening exchange between Oscar host Seth MacFarlane and intruder from the future William Shatner.

In a spoof (and a screen grab), the Star Trek captain showed the Family Guy guy what would be his upcoming review from Battglio.

"I didn't know it was coming," Battaglio writes on TV Guide's website. "I was watching the show at home with my wife. Staring at the byline, it took a few seconds to absorb."

And once it did, he says, "every electronic device in our apartment was ringing, buzzing, pinging or vibrating."

Renée Zellweger was feeling the love – and the surf – during her recent Hawaiian vacation.

Zellweger, 43, joined her boyfriend, musician Doyle Bramhall II, 44, for some kayaking, paddle-boarding and romantic kissing on the beach. Wearing matching black beachwear, the Texas natives were not shy about their happiness, holding hands and smiling broadly as they vacationed together.

Taylor Swift Channels Beyoncé at Brit Awards

02/21/2013 at 11:40 AM EST

Does Sasha Fierce have a pop-country cousin?

During a sassy performance of "I Knew You Were Trouble" at Wednesday's Brit Awards, Taylor Swift shed a white wedding dress to reveal a black embellished jumpsuit, sexy boots – and some familiar moves.

Striking a pose, tossing her hair and even falling to her knees to belt out the hit song, Swift, 23, resembled Beyoncé in her highly buzzed-about Super Bowl halftime performance on Feb. 3. Flip through a carousel of photos from the performance above.

At the awards ceremony at London's O2 arena, Swift handed out the best British female prize to soulful Scottish singer and songwriter Emeli Sandé, who also took home the best album prize for her debut, Our Version of Events.

A nominee for international female solo artist, Swift lost in that category to another American, Lana Del Rey.

Princess Diana Gowns for Sale Again

02/20/2013 at 11:40 AM EST

Some of the gorgeous and historic dresses worn by Princess Diana are headed for auction – again!

The most famous of the 10 dresses, which were originally sold by Diana in New York a few months before her death in 1997, is the midnight blue gown that Diana wore as she twirled around the dance floor at the White House with John Travolta in 1985. Diana graced the Victor Edelstein-designed velvet dress for the state dinner given by President Ronald and Nancy Reagan in honor of the princess's then-husband, Prince Charles.

London-based auctioneer Kerry Taylor is selling the gowns, with the collection including some of the princess's favorite designers: Zandra Rhodes, Catherine Walker and Bruce Oldfield.

The sale, "Fit for a Princess: Important dresses formerly in the collection of Diana, Princess of Wales," will take place March 19. From romantic ballgowns to chiffon cocktail dresses and then, as she matured, rich velvets in darker colors, the dresses were worn for official formal events, such as visits to Austria, Australia, Brazil, India and South Korea, as well the U.S.

Others she modeled for leading portrait photographers such as Mario Testino and Lord Snowdon, says Kerry Taylor.

A pink "lavishly embroidered evening gown and bolero" by Catherine Walker made for her visit to India is expected to go for up to $180,000. A sea-green gown – also by Walker – made for a tour to Austria could get as much as $50,000.

The original sale at Christie's auction house in New York came at a time when post-divorce Diana was re-assessing her life, and, she revealed at the time, the idea to sell the dresses to aid charity had been her son Prince William's.

Mindy McCready Made Heartbreaking Video for Suicide Prevention

02/19/2013 at 11:40 AM EST

Just days before her apparent suicide, Mindy McCready was ready to release a suicide-prevention video dedicated to her deceased boyfriend David Wilson.

As she sings "I'll See You Yesterday," a song intended for her next album, a photo of a rural scene transitions to pictures of McCready and Wilson, followed by contact information for suicideispreventable.org. It had been intended to be used as a PSA.

"She told me that it was beautiful, it made her cry and was exactly what she wanted," says Dan "Danno" Hanks, a private investigator friend who produced the video. "I asked her if I could post it and Mindy's answer was, 'You'll know when it's right.' In hindsight she was having me produce her suicide video."

Hanks posted the video on YouTube on Sunday after McCready was found dead on the porch of her Arkansas home after apparently shooting herself. Last month, Wilson was found dead in the same house, also with a gunshot wound to the head.

The song, written by McCready pal Courtney Dashe and co-writer Jason Walker, is about remembering the good in relationships that had gone sour.

"We know she has been through a lot and the song clearly resonated with her," says Dashe, who watched McCready cry after hearing the song for the first time in 2009. "[Danno] said the song had been really helping her cope with the loss of her boyfriend."

Danica Patrick Makes History as First Woman to Win Daytona 500 Pole Slot

02/18/2013 at 11:30 AM EST

Danica Patrick made racing history on Sunday, becoming the first woman to win the coveted pole position for this year's Daytona 500 in just her second season of racing NASCAR after years as an IndyCar driver.

"I was brought up to be the fastest driver, not the fastest girl," Patrick, 30, told CBS News. "That was instilled in my from very young, from the beginning.

"I've been lucky in my career to be with good teams and have good people around me," Patrick said. "I don't think any of it would have been possible without that."

Patrick started in eighth position in qualifying rounds on Sunday, clocking her fastest lap at 196.434 mph in her No. 10 Chevrolet SS stock car at the Daytona International Speedway in Florida. Two hours and 37 other competitive drivers later, her time put her on top, letting her start the famed race, set for Feb. 24, in the most-coveted position.

Patrick posted photos of her Pole Award on her Facebook page. She crashed last year in her first Daytona 500 try.

Previously, the photogenic Patrick, who has modeled and directed TV ads, became the first woman to win an IndyCar race, when she led the pack in 2008 in Japan.

Her personal life faced scrutiny last year when she announced her split from husband Paul Hospenthal, 47, a physical therapist and personal training expert for golfers. The couple had been married for seven years.

Katy Perry Gets a Heart-Shaped Ring from John Mayer

02/17/2013 at 11:45 AM EST

John Mayer put a ring on Katy Perry's finger – just not the kind you might expect.

After the couple was photographed leaving Vincenti, an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles, on Valentine's Day, Perry was spotted wearing a ruby on her ring finger, leaving many to ask if Mayer, 35, had popped the question.

Although Perry, 28, is beaming in the photo, a source tells PEOPLE the couple is "not engaged."

While the one-of-a-kind ring was created by Daniel Gibbings, a Santa Barbara based jeweler and designer, it may have nothing more than a Valentine's Day gift that a rep for Gibbings says the singer-songwriter selected himself.

Mayer was "really super nice" while shopping for his girlfriend, the rep adds.

But as for speculation over whether the heart-shaped ring could be seen as a possible engagement ring, the rep says that while it's not a traditional design, "it can be."

"[Gibbings] uses a lot of texture. The style of his engagement rings are not the usual Neil Lane looking ring. They are definitely more trendy or boho," the rep adds.

02/16/2013 at 11:30 AM EST

Daddy's little girl, indeed!

A new photo of Beyoncé and Jay-Z's 1-year-old daughter Blue Ivy – apparently leaked from the songstress's upcoming HBO documentary – shows the proud mama holding up her little girl, who bears a striking resemblance to her famous papa.

"When I wake up in the morning, the best thing in the world is seeing her face," the pop star said earlier this month.

"She's starting to talk. It's just such a beautiful time in my life to have a child and every day see something new and see her learn something new."

This marks the second time fans are getting a good look at Blue Ivy. One year ago, when Blue Ivy was just 4-weeks-old, her famous parents shared photos of their precious new arrival.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis couldn't hide their affection for each other at the afterparty for the Oz the Great and Powerful premiere on Wednesday.

Kunis and Kutcher showed up for the soiree at Lure Nightclub in Hollywood around 10:30 p.m. Holding court in a reserved area with friends, Kunis was dressed to the nines, while Kutcher kept things casual in a thick white sweater and baseball cap.

As guests arrived, Kutcher remained seated as Kunis welcomed everyone into the group and made a point to chat with most people. But eventually, they found their way back to each other, with Kunis sometimes sitting on Kutcher's lap and holding hands.

The cozy couple's PDA continued as the night went on – sharing kisses, hugging and staring into each other's eyes.

Just before 12:30 a.m., the former That 70's Show costars exited the event.

Julianna Margulies: Every Day with My Son Is a New Adventure

Reading is fundamental for Julianna Margulies, especially when it comes to her 5-year-old son Kieran Lindsay.

“Since I’ve had a child [there hasn't been a day] that we haven’t read to him at night,” The Good Wife star, 46, tells PEOPLE Thursday at an event she hosted for LEGO/Duplo’s Read! Build! Play!

“And if I can’t be there my husband is or the babysitter is. Somebody is always there reading to him before he goes to sleep.”

To that end, weekly library trips have become routine in Margulies’ household.

“We have a great little neighborhood library, so once a week we take seven books out and then we bring them back and switch them,” she explains. “If we don’t go on a Monday, Kieran’s like, ‘Wait — it’s library day.’”

Margulies is continually surprised by what she refers to as her son’s “undying curiosity.”

“Everything is new and exciting, so it makes you look through their eyes and see the world that way. He wakes up 6 a.m. and just starts talking. Everything is interesting. And it can be anything — it can be a shadow on the wall or a prism light that you suddenly see a rainbow coming out of. Every day is a new adventure with him.”

Gisele Bündchen Shows Off Post-Baby Body in Bikini

02/11/2013 at 11:30 AM EST

Whether showing off her baby bump – as she did only last November – or showing off her post-baby body, as she does here – Gisele Bündchen knows how to get heads to turn.

The Brazilian beauty introduced 9-week-old daughter Vivian Lake Brady in a Facebook posting last Friday, when she was also displaying her washboard stomach while vacationing poolside at her hotel in Hawaii.

With the photo of Vivian, Bündchen, who is on the holiday with husband Tom Brady and their two kids (Vivian's brother is Benjamin, 3), wrote, "Love is everything!!! Happy friday, much love to all."

As for her figure, the supermodel said to Vogue U.K. in 2011, "Like I tell my five sisters, who don't work at it very hard at all, whatever you put in, you get out. I'm not afraid of working hard at anything, whatever it is. I just always want to be the best that I can."

Mariah Carey Throws a Christmas Party During the Blizzard

02/10/2013 at 11:30 AM EST

As a midwinter snowstorm left much of the Northeast hunkered down and bundled up indoors for the weekend, Mariah Carey didn't break out a deck of cards or a book or even a movie to ride out of the weather.

Instead, the singer turned a nasty blizzard into a good party – actually more like a belated Christmas celebration.

In a bash she documented on YouTube and Twitter, the famously festive star gathered some pals to mark what she described as "our re-Christmas day."

"It's truly quite fabulous and festive," she told her fans in the video, posted Saturday. "I wish you could all be here." (Seemingly missing from the activities: husband Nick Cannon and 21-month-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.)

With her rendition of "O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujah Chorus" playing in the background and a decorated (albeit mini) tree setting the mood, Carey once again brought the North Pole to New York City – this time, without the help of Santa.

And it was a white Christmas, indeed, for her guests, who noshed on candy canes and snowman-shaped cookies, as well as some heart-shaped ones, of course.

"You could say what you want to say," she added, "but we having fun."
